At Flying Tiger Zipline, safety is not just a priority—it's our foundation. Every decision we make, from equipment selection to guide training, is guided by our commitment to providing safe, memorable adventures.

1. Equipment Safety Standards

1.1 Equipment Specifications

  • Full-body harnesses certified to EN 361 standards
  • Steel-core auto-locking carabiners (minimum 23kN strength)
  • Dual trolley system with redundant attachment points
  • CE-certified helmets for all participants
  • Gloves provided for zipline braking and platform grip

1.3 Equipment Retirement

Equipment is retired and replaced based on manufacturer guidelines, inspection results, and usage data. We never compromise on equipment quality.

2. Guide Training & Certification

2.1 Required Certifications

  • Basic First Aid & CPR certification
  • High-angle rescue training
  • Adventure activity guide certification
  • Annual refresher training

2.2 Training Program

All guides complete a comprehensive training program including:

  • 40+ hours of initial practical training
  • Equipment operation and inspection
  • Emergency response procedures
  • Guest communication and safety briefing
  • Weather assessment and decision-making

3. Operational Safety Procedures

3.1 Pre-Tour Safety Briefing

Every participant receives a comprehensive safety briefing covering:

  • Proper equipment fitting and adjustment
  • Body position during zipline descent
  • Braking techniques
  • Hand signals and communication
  • Emergency procedures

3.2 Guide-to-Guest Ratios

3.3 Weather Policy

Tours may be delayed, modified, or cancelled due to:

  • Lightning within 30km radius
  • Sustained winds over 40 km/h
  • Heavy rainfall affecting visibility or grip
  • Any conditions deemed unsafe by the lead guide

4. Emergency Response Plan

4.1 On-Site Medical

  • First aid kits at every platform
  • Comprehensive medical kit at base camp
  • AED (Automated External Defibrillator) on site
  • Direct communication with local emergency services

4.2 Evacuation Procedures

  • Trained guides certified in high-angle rescue
  • Rescue equipment stored at strategic points
  • Emergency evacuation drills conducted monthly
  • GPS coordinates of all platforms for emergency services

4.3 Emergency Contacts

  • On-site emergency line: Available during all operating hours
  • Nearest hospital: 25 minutes from location
  • Local emergency services: 191 (Police), 1669 (Ambulance)

5. Participant Health & Safety

Important Medical Notice

Please inform our staff of ANY medical conditions, injuries, or medications before participating. Your safety depends on honest disclosure.

5.1 Participation Restrictions

  • Minimum age: 6 years
  • Weight: 20 kg - 100 kg
  • Not suitable for pregnant women
  • Not recommended for persons with heart conditions
  • Not suitable for those with severe fear of heights

5.2 Required Disclosures

Participants must disclose:

  • Heart conditions or recent surgery
  • Back, neck, or joint problems
  • Epilepsy or seizure conditions
  • Respiratory conditions
  • Current medications affecting balance or judgment

6. Insurance Coverage

All participants are covered by our comprehensive liability insurance during the tour. Coverage includes:

  • Personal accident coverage
  • Medical expenses
  • Emergency evacuation if required

We strongly recommend participants also maintain their own travel insurance.

7. Continuous Improvement

We are committed to continuously improving our safety standards through:
